If you are happy and you know it claps your hands

Interactive VR experience

The interactive VR work If you are happy and you know it claps your hands explores the power relationship in the child song and how they affect our thinking. Inspired from the form of the panopticon, the work contains countless identical genderless human figures in metallic skin layering in the black space. Once the audience clicks on any of the figures, they change their initial behavior to clap. The audio track of the work tries to draw the viewer with an eerie experience as well as to highlight the work's title. By looping voice asking the question “Are you happy” and backtrack audio says “Clap, clap, clap”, the sound part works as a hint that leads to the later answer of this work “If you are happy and you know it, clap your hands”.

This work has a different version as a four-screen video installation. The audio track is created in Adobe Auditions. The character is designed in Adobe Fuse and Mixamo.
